Mythmakers is a Los Angeles based production company focused on the development and production of Motion Picture Family Adventure Feature Films.

The company was founded in 2008 by two award-winning filmmakers Tess Ortbals and JR Burningham. The filmmakers met in graduate school at USC's prestigious School of Cinematic Arts, the same school George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Ron Howard, Brian Singer, Stephen Sommers, and many more successful filmmakers got thier start.

The two filmmakers worked together on numerous award-winning short films during school and found a mutual respect for each others' talents as well as a shared vision for the messages they want to bring to the world.
